Welcome to my home
In much of my work I explore the concept of home. Home can carry a different meaning from person to person. To me home is place where I can surround myself with memories and objects that bring me joy. It evokes a feeling of warmth that comes from being loved and supported. With my work I am showcasing the many interpretations of home and exploring the feelings these spaces/objects evoke within myself and the viewer.
My process
My body of work focuses primarily on material and process through sculptural screen-printing. My work challenges the notion of “traditional” bordered printmaking by bringing the medium into a three-dimensional space. I play with the contrast between the 2-dimensional flatness of my scenes in a 3-dimensional setting to utilize space and form to elevate the design and concept of the prints.
